Welcome to Carino Within! I am Zahayra Carino and I am an Asian-Latina Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I believe that true healing begins when you feel genuinely seen and supported. My goal is to create a safe, curious, and compassionate space and meet you where you are. I will listen to your story and collaborate with you in creating a treatment plan that you feel aligned with. 

In our sessions, I integrate holistic techniques alongside evidence-based approaches such as Gottman Method for couples therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, amongst other modalities.

I am licensed in New Jersey and New York. My training has included earning my Masters in Social Work from New York University, obtaining my professional license in New York and New Jersey, extensive ADHD training, Perinatal Mental Health certified with Postpartum Support International, and completing advanced training in the Gottman Method.
